Burgess Jenkins, actor Winston-Salem with a resume grew, moving behind the camera for the most recent project.

Jenkins has signed on to direct “finds its way,” a film based on the faith that will begin production in late January in the Burlington area.

“This will be my first time driving, although I have produced several films,” said Jenkins. “I’ve already ordered the actor for six years, so the natural progression.”

Jenkins ran a group of actors in Winston-Salem, Carolina. He has starred in films including “The reaping,” “remember the Titans”, and the biopic “Wesley” and has a recurring role as “like the TV show One Tree Hill” and “army wives.” One of the most recent is her role in “The escape,” a movie that was filmed in Winston-Salem’s last year.

“It is based on a true story about a young man who died while still in high school, and the impact of his life on the lives of others in this small community,” said Jenkins. “It shows how a person’s life, even when shortened, can touch and change the lives of so many other people.”
